Pearl Oyster Alliance has successfully initiated its First International Webinar in the closing of autumn season. The first international entitled, “Challenge and Opportunity in Global and Indonesia’s Pearl Farming” was attended by participant coming from nearly 18 countries in the world such as Indonesia, Australia, Germany, France, India, The Philippines, USA, Fiji, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nigeria, Turkey, Cambodia, Malaysia, Tunisia, Singapore, UAE and Pakistan.
The event was officially opened by the remarks from the founder of Pearl Oyster Alliance, M. Irham Saputra and was the whole discussion was moderated by Pearl Oyster Alliance’s International Public Relation, Hardi Wijakesuma. In this opportunity, Irham introduced POA’s initial breakthrough in helping enthusiast individual in aquaculture to connect & collaborate harmoniously via Pearl Oyster Alliance.
The webinar was specifically discussed disease and mortality in Edible Oyster by Dr. Sarah Ugalde from the University of Tasmania and Fouling Technique by Zachary Kulberg from The US. This webinar was closed by a close discussion on seeking collaboration to initiate pearl farming industry in a country that potentially develop this line of industry which also proves that the existence of Pearl Oyster Alliance is indeed important to begin with.
